So yeah, I'm still on a bit of a high from the Metal Gear Solid movie news. I read on Wikipedia that Kojima has confirmed a 2008 release, while IMDB claims a 2009... which makes a bit more sense. In addition, IMDB is a much more reliable source than Wiki, so yeah, that's what I'm going with. No one appears to have been signed on, as of yet-- my hopes are still set on Bale. That would kick so much ass.
Fuck, I've still got to read 'Raiders of the Lost Ark', and write a page or so on it for tomorrow. I'm totally not in the mood to read it right now... Because seriously, Raiders is an AWESOME movie, because it's really non-stop action. The problem is, the non-stop action translated to non-stop action description, which is a pain and a half to read. I don't think that "Genre: Action" is going to be as fun as I originally assumed.
I had to pitch a television series idea today... and I was originally planning to go in with a pitch for a Dillon and Gabe based sitcom. This morning, in the shower, I changed my mind and decided to turn 'Abandon' into a series. The pitch went well, and I'm really excited to get started on it. The story, however, will always remain a feature to me... so, if anything, the pilot I'm going to eventually write can be used as a starting off point for when I decide to write the actual film. (I'm changing the series name to 'The Abandoned', to differentiate between the two.) I have to have a bible done by next week, but, I don't think that it'll be too hard to write. I need to get my outlines done soon, though... Fuck, those are going to take some time.
I'm going to be pretty busy this weekend. Good thing no movies are coming out.
So yeah, not that much to write about as of late. Plenty of stuff has been happening-- But, one's personal, and the other I'm not in the mood to write about yet (I've been having some money problems again. Fun.). So yeah. I think I'm going to go take a walk, or something... then settle down and try to get this Indiana Jones bullshit finished.
Oh, and 'Spiderman 3' was TECHNICALLY pretty bad... but, there's nothing on the surface level that should hinder your basic enjoyment of it. It's a good popcorn flick, nothing more. I think Ryan Lavalette put it best when he said: "It's like a disobedient child, I'm not mad at it... Just REALLY disappointed."
Milo died on Twenty-Four. Sad. He was pretty cool. A shot in the face is a pretty cool way to go, though... Seriously, why do all these small-time characters get GREAT deaths, and Tony-- fucking TONY, doesn't get SHIT!? Seriously, I want them to bring him back, just kill him off properly.
FUCK.
