So, I met with this cat Jason today, who's going to be directing my Port Short "Noon", come July. I think that he got stuck with mine, rather than chose it for himself, but, he's a pretty cool guy-- and I think we're going to have a good time with it. After school today, we had to look at eighty something auditions, and come up with a small list of potential actors. Luckily, "Noon" only has two twenty-somethings-- So, any time one of those popped up, Jason would lean over like: "Eh?" -- and I'd be like: "Eh."



I really liked the two guys we ended up choosing, and I think that they'll end up playing well off of one another. We're kind of going for a different look and style to Quint than I originally envisioned-- but, I think it's going to work out really well. Fingers crossed that we'll get them. I liked our entire list, though, and would pretty much be just as happy to get anyone.



We shoot in July, so, I still have a long while before I have to worry about this shit at all.



I've been listening to Dir en Grey's "Withering To Death" a lot lately. I wasn't particularly fond of it when I first downloaded it, but, upon re-listening, I actually am beginning to think that it's a beautiful fucking album. I'm still bummed that they've lost the Visual Kei aspect to their appearance, though. It just feels like they're selling out a little to appeal to Western audiences-- But really, what kind of sense does that make? If you're open minded enough to jam to some Japanese tunes-- Then you're probably open minded enough to jam to some Japanese tunes by dudes who look like chicks. Oh well. The sound is still there, which is what really matters-- and Kyo will never cease to impress me as a fucking vocalist. I have no idea what the fuck he's saying, but I'll be damned if it doesn't sound like he means it. They released an album in February called "Marrow of a Bone" which I knew nothing a-fucking-bout... so, I'm giving that download now. No idea what I'll think of it.



Avoid Mika like the plague. "Grace Kelly" struck my interest when I first heard I week or so ago, but, it's already on my fucking nerves. Please be a one hit wonder-- I'm not anxious to hear what else this dude is planning to put out there. It doesn't help that the video is ridiculous. I think Zach put it best when he said: "Motherfucker thinks he is Grace Kelly."



So, few days ago, I got a note slipped under my door from landlord that read (roughly): "Hey! You've got five days to pay your rent before we evict your ass." -- I spent a little too much this month, so, the money didn't go through... and after a frantic phone call to my parents, got some extra cash and was able to pay everything off this morning. God forbid it ever happens again. That was fucking brutal.
