In an interview, Hideo Kojima said that he would like actor Christian Bale to play the lead character, Solid Snake. In a later interview, Kojima stated that Viggo Mortensen would be his new first choice for the role. At one point, Christian Bale stated in an interview that he was interested in playing a character with a mullet and a bandanna, hinting, of course, at playing Solid Snake. However nothing ever came out of that statement.^{[citation needed]}

From Wikipedia. I don't know about Viggo-- but, Christian Bale would be an awesome Snake. Honestly, I would prefer that David Hayter himself reprised the character, considering I, like most fans, INSTANTLY connect his voice to the character... But, Bale would be my next choice. Hell, I never even thought of him.



On Hayter's wiki article, it claims that he's interested in writing the script, under Kojimas supervision-- That would also be awesome. (He's done drafts on the first two X-Men movies, as well as an apparently hailed draft of 'The Watchmen'.)



I know an MGS movie isn't going to be coming out any time soon-- But, I'm still fucking excited.
