So yeah, all things considered, the sketch show went really great the other night. Considering that there was a pretty big hockey game that night, the turn out was actually really good. The show itself went beautifully. Sure, there were some things wrong with it, but, the audience seemed to enjoy it. I was particularly thrilled with how my sketch, "Everyone Hates Aquaman" flew, as it seemed to be one of the better received ones. Sure, the fact that it wasn't completely booed probably made the laughs sound ten times louder in my ears, but, it seemed like all the key moments got laughs where and why they were supposed to. Can't ask for anything better than that, right?
Went to the other groups show tonight, sporting my awesome new fake ID. And, by fake ID, I mean a piece of card stock with a picture of an Asian kid that I cut out from a magazine taped to it-- with an arrow pointing to it, saying "This Is Me. Really." ...And, to make sure it gets the point across, I added: "I'm nineteen years of age. Seriously. This is a legal document. Very Legal." Honestly, I can't tell the difference between it and my actual ID. God, I could go into business making these fucking things. But yeah, I don't think that the other show flew quite as well as ours, but, I still enjoyed it. Brooks' "Jerkstache" sketch was still all kinds of brilliant.
So yeah, I'm starting to rock the "end of the term burnout" session, where I just don't want to work on anything anymore. Luckily, after my two day week next week, Spring Break starts up-- and I'm pretty much not doing anything but sit on my fucking couch. I'm going to be a little bored, considering a lot of people are going to be heading back home for the week, but, I suppose that I'll survive somehow.
The Aqua Teen Hunger Force movie comes out tomorrow, and I couldn't be more excited for it. I just hope a fucking theater around here will be playing it-- because, at the moment, it doesn't look like it. I also need to see "The Lookout", and "Grindhouse" again.
All right, ladies and gents, time to go set up my couch and pass out for the night.
