I thought about being productive today. When I woke up and discovered that it was actually kind of nice out (save for a couple clouds), I thought that I might go take a walk in Stanley Park. Now, I love that park, I think it's fucking beautiful... However, it takes about an hour or so to walk to, and I'm far too lazy to try and pull that. I'd like to be there, I just don't want to go there, if that makes any sense. As Zach said, I'd totally be there if it was right outside my apartment building. I might do my laundry, or something, just so I can pretend that today wasn't a total waste.

I also might go see "Reign Over Me" with Adam Sandler. It looks pretty good, and is garnering some fair reviews. It's either that, or watching "Garden State" for the billionth time. Saw "The Lookout" yesterday with Zach and Neil-- and I'm little torn over it. It wasn't anything great, but it didn't do anything wrong either. I wouldn't say that I "liked" it, per se-- but, I would have no reason not to, if that makes any sense. I don't know, I just didn't feel much for the 3rd Rock kid, or his situation. I don't know. At least it was cheap. Seriously, Granville is awesome.

So, I finally get to put "Kerouac Days" in a drawer and forget about it. I had my last rewrite workshop, and Kat Montagu ripped it apart in story editing class, which I'm pretty sure means that I don't ever have to touch it again. It's a terrible script, but, I've been assured that most of the problems are typical first draft issues, so, maybe I shouldn't be as hard on it as I have been. Maybe I'll come back to it someday, when I'm older and wiser... Or maybe, I'll just let it sit there for the rest of eternity, and forever shudder at the idea of my first screenplay. Oh well. I don't think that I'm ever going to try and do a "dramaedy" with Dillon and Gabe again. I'm pretty sure that I'm going to stick with the more ridiculous, cartoon universe for the characters... it seems to fit them better. Oh well, I suppose it was a valiant attempt to cross them over into a different genre... and if anything, I've proven that Kennedy needs his own movie. (He's been a unanimous favorite, pretty much... probably because he's the only remotely interesting character in the entire 80 pages.) I'm not sure, but, I might have him or the comic book store, "Indies", cameo in my next feature.

I'm actually kind of excited to start working on my next script, as I think it's going to be ten times easier than "Kerouac Days" was. Most people raise their eyebrows when I tell them that I want to do a PG-13 teen football comedy... but, I think I can handle it. It'll be tough to make any of the football related material interesting or new... but, I think that the characters will be enough to make the whole deal worthwhile. We'll see what happens. It's not a "passion project" by any stretch of the imagination, but, I think that it'll be fun to write. Lord knows, I don't think that I'm ready to do "Abandon" yet-- and would prefer not to get myself stuck in the middle of that in my last two terms.

Also for next term, I'm going to be working on a TV pilot for an animated series based on my "Anti" short stories. Over break, however, I need to reimagine the universe it's set in... as, at the moment, it's currently a fucking muck of cliches. Oh well, maybe something will happen with it... Otherwise, it's going to be a fucking miserable two terms coming up.

Dave has me listening to "Camera Obscura", as he wants to use one of their songs for a short film (and eventually feature) that we'll eventually be filming. The song is good, but, I can't say that I'm a fan of the rest of the album. Too slow, muddled, and uninteresting for my taste. Oh well. I'm currently looking for "The Wedding Singer" Broadway soundtrack with Stephen Lynch... if anyone has it, for god's sake, send it my way. I want it so bad. I'm also looking for Christopher Titus' new CD... but, something tells me that I'm probably never going to find it. Oh well. "Norman Rockwell is Bleeding" is ALWAYS worth rewatching... And his TV show, "Titus", never gets old. (I still need to find the third season on DVD.)

So yeah, new (incredibly simple) template and banner image. Thoughts?

Seven episodes left of '24'... I've been disappointed so far, but, last weeks episode was absolutely incredible, and probably one of the better episodes of the whole damn show. Hopefully it'll be able to keep that pace going until the finale... it doesn't have a lot of time left to impress me... But, with the discovery that Audrey is still alive, I suppose that they do have a few punches left to pull.

Only a few more days until Spring Break. I'm so fucking excited.
