Jessica Alba told Fantastic Four director Tim Story that she wanted to look "ugly" in the forthcoming sequel.



The 26-year-old actress has become tired of looking so pretty on screen and hopes to play an unattractive character soon.



"I think the beauty thing can sometimes get in the way. We've discussed it at length," Story told Empire magazine. "She has this thing; she says: 'Tim, make me ugly! Put dirt on me! Do something!' and I'm like: 'OK, Jessica, maybe not in this film…'



"She's such a talent, but sometimes it's hard for people to look past that. Yet I think she is really starting to turn that around."

When I first read the headline "Alba Wanted to be 'ugly' in 'Four' sequel" -- I was like, "Okay, that makes a lot of sense"-- As when we all saw the trailer for 'Silver Surfer', everyone pretty much gasped when Alba showed up on screen. She looked like she had been beaten with an ugly baseball bat carved out of the ugly tree...



But, I guess it wasn't intentional. And now I'm left wondering what the fuck happened. Not wondering HARD mind you, as I'm not losing any sleep over Jessica Alba's appearance-- I just have no reason to go and see 'Silver Surfer' any more.
