Don't worry, I'm still alive. I've hit a mega patch of laziness, and haven't felt like writing much of anything, but, hey, what else is new, right? I was going to write a whole post about how I nearly passed out waiting in line at burger king, but, I ended up just telling the story to everyone anyway-- so, now I'm not going to waste the effort, because I'm lazy. As it turns out, it really wasn't that great of a story anyway. One of those 'had to be theres', I think.
Now that I'm back in the money (though, I'll probably be back OUT OF IT soon enough... because I'm terrible with that shit).. I've been seeing a lot of movies lately (making up for lost time, you know?). I've pretty much enjoyed everything so far, which is a plus.
I had an advanced screening of 'Disturbia' on Monday-- and, to my surprise, it was actually a lot of fun. For a PG-13 thriller, it actually had a really solid plot, some tense moments, and some really funny shit. I've also misjudged the ability of Shia LaWhat'sHisFuck... as, he's actually turning out to be quite a capable actor, and I was digging his performance.
'TMNT' was pretty much what I expected it to be. It was a little light in the plot department, and yet, still featured a lot of really good character moments, and some BEAUTIFUL animation sequences. Everyone should dish out their nine bucks if ONLY to see the roof top battle between Raphael and Leonardo. That, honestly, might have been the best couple of moments in any Turtles movie, period. Overall, the flick was nowhere NEAR as good as the BRILLIANT 1990 original, but, by far the best sequel. Mikey's jokes were a little 'meh', however, and I missed the Brooklyn accent on Raph. Otherwise, a solid, and very underrated effort. (...it also drops hints of Shredder appearing in the sequel. Oh goodie!)
Just got back from seeing 'Blades of Glory' with Justin... What you see is what you get in that one. It's a stupid movie, that knows it's a stupid movie, and only strives to be a stupid movie. Enough said. If you dug Will Ferrel's other flicks, you'll dig this one. If not, you won't. Enough said. Jon Heder did a relatively fine job too... Plus, it had Will Arnett from 'Arrested Development', and that crazy hot chick from 'The Office' who plays Pam (in a corset, no less. Schwing!).
Ugh, Mac's got me on an 'Anti' buzz again. I'm thinking about doing a novella... but, I don't know when the hell I'm going to have time to fit it in. I have a story, but, I don't know how I can stretch it out-- or make it anything more than just a bunch of dudes sitting in a seedy bar and talking (see: 'Black' and 'Deception'). We'll see what happens. I have a long weekend... I don't know if I'm going to be able to bring myself to do anything about it, though.
I cleaned my place again, it looks amazing. Did the bathroom too... it actually appears, well, sanitary. Time for food, methinks.
